Kampala Campus Library began in 2005 as a branch library of Hamu Mukasa Library (HML). It grew from a mobile evening service to a well-organized campus library supporting undergraduate and postgraduate learning, research, and professional programs. Today, it provides computer services, reference services, current awareness services, interlibrary loans, e-resources training, research assistance, reading space, and internet services to students, staff, and external users.
Kampala Campus Library started in 2005 as a branch library of Hamu Mukasa Library and initially operated as a mobile evening service for students and staff.
As the Kampala campus expanded, the library grew into a structured service with sections, day operations, and dedicated librarians supporting diverse academic programs.
The library serves students, staff, and external users, and supports inclusive access for persons with disabilities (PWDs) through assisted access and electronic copies where appropriate.
The library has transitioned across locations and is currently based on Mussajja Alumbwa Road, with plans to relocate to a larger basement space in the new main building for improved accessibility and service provision.
